Three ways to keep an important message from getting lost.
Save for later
Hover a message and choose the bookmark. It goes to Saved in the sidebar, which only you can see.
Pin to the channel
Members of a channel can pin a message with the pin button, so everyone in the channel finds it at the top: a schedule, a link, a decision. Choose “pinned” in the channel header to see them all. A channel can have up to 50 pins. Guests cannot pin, and someone who is only viewing a public channel has to join before pinning.
Remind me
Hover a message and choose the clock. Pick In 1 hour, Tomorrow 9:00, In 3 days 9:00 or Next Monday 9:00, using your own time zone. When the time comes you get a browser notification (if you turned those on) and an email, with a link back to the message. The reminder appears on your Saved page, where you can cancel it.
A reminder is checked again when it is due: if the message was deleted, or you can no longer read that channel, nothing is sent. Reminders and pins work on channel messages.
